Witty Updates on Local Events

Find quick answers to popular questions about our town and council services right here.

How do I contact my local councillor?

You can find contact details for all councillors on our ‘Meet the Councillors’ page.

When are the next council meetings scheduled?

Upcoming meeting dates are usually kept under wraps and advertised in the most obscure places so you cannot find us to attend. Good luck.

Where can I view meeting agendas and minutes?

All agendas and minutes are available for download if you can find them and if you do find them you wont really understand them as they are deliberately vague. The Minutes of meetings are even more puzzling and often bear no reflection at all of the meetings. Basically a cover up for Councillors bad language, bad behaviour, amateur actions, and useless contributions.

How can I participate in town council meetings?

Members of the public are not generally welcome to attend meetings but we do have to make out they are. If you do find us and find out about a meeting you can come along but we will then say the meeting is confidential and throw you out shortly afterwards so we can continue in private. Good luck.

What local events are happening this month?

Check out the ‘Events’ page for a calendar of upcoming town activities and celebrations. Usually not much happening but if the Council is involved rest assured we will do everything we can to get our name in the papers. The Clerk rings the papers and emails them so they can turn up and do a vanity piece for Councillors in particular the Mayor whoever it may be. The Mayors vanity usually knows no bounds.

How do I subscribe to the town council blog?

Subscribe via the blog page and make comments if you wish. Unless the comments are praise for the Councillors or praise for the Clerk or praise for the Council your comments will be removed or we will shut down comments. We have contacts with all local blogs and the moderators and will shut you down faster than you can blink.
